How can I participate in the Click?

Anyone can participate in the Click. The Click is a web application that everyone can use. You can register and get started via www.the-click.app What you do at home you can now do on the go in a fun way.

Does my phone support the Click web app?

You need a modern smartphone to start with the Click. Best to use your default browser. If you have any problems, please try a different browser. Also check your settings to make sure you have shared your location and camera when prompted.

Is the Click web app secure?

  • We have taken all reasonable steps to protect your personal information: 
    • Your browser will go into secure mode as soon as you log in.  Before you enter any personal details, you can check if your environment is secure by looking for either a locked padlock icon, or an image of a key in the grey bar at the bottom of your browser screen.
    • Being in "secure mode" means that all of your details are encrypted to help keep them secure. Encryption creates billions of code combinations to protect each transaction made on our site. If you are using one of the more recent browser versions, our site supports 256-bit encryption, therefore keeping your details as safe as possible at all times. 
  • Be aware that it is impossible to 100% guarantee the security of any data disclosed via the internet.

What is a Click hotspot?

A Click hotspot is a geofenced zone where you can Click and earn extra Circular UCoins.

How do I scan a product?

Once you are logged on to the Click web app, you will have the option to browse through the menu or press the scan button. Via the scan button you can get started by clicking the start button. Your camera will get activated, and you will be able to scan the barcode on the litter item. If the litter item doesn’t have a barcode, you can take a photo and specify the litter item yourself. Share your location when prompted.

Why do I need to share my location?

We need your location to check which Click hotspot / zone you are in. This allows you to earn extra Circular UCoins where applicable

How do I share my location?

  • Your phone will ask you to share your location when you go to scan a litter item, make sure you allow this.
  • Depending on your settings you may need to allow your browser to see your location.
  • Some browsers will ask every time, others will remember your answer. Check both your device settings and browser settings in case of any problems.

Is there a limit to how many items I can scan?

There is a limit of 150 items per person per week.

How can I become part of the Click community?

You become part of the community by registering via the Web app. You can share all your Click activity on your own Social Media and engage others to adopt the new normal. On our website you can find visuals you can share. Join our community now!

Can I register without an e-mail address?

No, it is not possible to register without an email-address.

How can I invite a friend?

You can share that you are now part of the Click on your social media. You can also share our website or the link to the web app itself. On our website you will find some pre-made visuals to download and share. Everyone who registers gets an initial amount of Circular UCoins as a welcome gift.

Will there be special events / bonuses available?

  • Hotspots provide a higher number of Circular UCoins to earn. Other initiatives will be launched on an ad-hoc basis. 
  • By being an active Click-er you can level up from Starter to Advanced to Champion. In each of the tiers, the number of Circular UCoins you earn per item goes up by 1 Circular UCoin.

What happens if my entry is not automatically approved?

If we don't recognise your item's barcode, we will have to check the input. Your entry will then be either approved or rejected. Circular UCoins will be added to your account only for approved Clicks.

How do I register?

You register by going to the web app via https://www.the-click.app. You just have to enter your details and click register. We will send you a welcome email with a temporary password. You can then log in to complete your registration and change your password.

How do I log in?

Once you have registered you can just log in to your account. Go to the login page and enter your email address and password. Press the button to log in and you can start Clicking.

How can I change/update my personal details?

Log in to your account and go to ‘My profile’. You can change your details under ‘Profile’. Press the button to save your details.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Go to the login page and press the "Forgotten password" link. Simply enter your e-mail address and press the button to submit. You will be e-mailed a temporary password to get access to your account again.

How can I change my password?

Log in to your account and go to ‘My profile’. Press the ‘Password’ section header. There you enter your current password and new password. Press the button to save your new password

How do I change my email address?

Log in to your account and go to ‘My profile’. There you can change your email address under ‘Profile details’. Press the button to save your details.

I lost my phone. How can I get to my account?

This is not a problem. The Click is a web app that can be used on any browser. Your account is saved in our database. You can log in to your account again from your new phone.

My account has been deleted, what do I do now?

Register again and make a new account.

What is in "My Clicks”?

All system notification emails such as order confirmations will be listed here. You will also be able to see the statuses and rewards of all your litter collection. Your active vouchers will also be shown in this section.

How can I unsubscribe?

You can delete your account and unsubscribe from the Click. You can send us a message via this contact form and we will do the necessary within 5 working days.

What are Circular UCoins?

You can earn Circular UCoins by picking up litter and scanning or photographing the item, then putting it in a waste basket. You can use the earned Circular UCoins in the shop to buy vouchers with all kinds of benefits.

Can I earn Circular UCoins everywhere?

No, you can only earn Circular UCoins in the active the Click zones. The locations where you can Click are listed in the web app section “Where to Click”.

How do I earn Circular UCoins?

  • Go and log in to your account. Make sure you're in an active the Click zone, you can find these in the web app section ‘Where to Click’. 
  • Pick up a piece of litter from the ground and press the “Scan” button Share your location when prompted and also activate your camera when prompted. 
  • If your item has a barcode on it, bring it close to the camera. If your barcode is recognised, it will be scanned. If your barcode cannot be scanned or if your item doesn't have a barcode, take a picture of it instead. We will ask you to identify the type of litter from a proposed list. Your Click will either be automatically approved or checked manually. 
  • Once your Click is approved you will earn Circular UCoins.

Is the earn rate fixed?

Depending on the tier you are in the earn rate for each litter item is fixed. As you level up, your reward for each approved Click will increase.

How many Circular UCoins do I get?

  • You will get 5 Circular UCoins as a registration bonus. Afterwards you will receive an amount of Circular UCoins per Click depending on what tier you’re in. 
    • 5 Circalur UCoins while Clicking in tier 1: Starter 
    • 6 Circular UCoins while Clicking in tier 2: Advanced 
    • 7 Circular UCoins while Clicking in tier 3: Champion  
  • In hotspot zones, it is possible to get additional Circular UCoins. The extra can differ per hotspot.

Where can I see my Circular UCoinsbalance?

Once you’re logged in you will see your Circular UCoins balance in the right top corner of your screen on the home page. You can also find your Circular UCoins balance in the shop section.

How do I manage my Circular UCoins account?

Everything that is linked to your Circular UCoins account you can find in the section “My clicks”. There you can see vouchers, mails and your balance.

Can I use my Circular UCoins for something else?

You can only use your Circular UCoins in the shop. There you can find a wide range of vouchers that you can redeem.

No, Circular UCoins can only be earned for doing the right thing by Clicking.

No, you can only redeem your Circular UCoins for vouchers in the shop.

How can I use Circular UCoins?

Log in to your account and go to the ‘Shop’. Browse through the categories or search for relevant offers. Once you find a voucher you like, you add to basket and press buy to complete the order. An order confirmation email will be sent to your email address. Your new voucher(s) will show in the ‘Vouchers’ page.

How many Circular UCoins do I need to get a voucher?

Every voucher has a different amount of Circular UCoins assigned to them. You can see the amount next to the voucher. You can also filter the vouchers on amounts based on your current CUC balance.

How can I redeem the vouchers?

Log in to your account and go to the ‘Vouchers’ page. There you click on an available voucher to view it. You can print your voucher or show it on your mobile screen to the relevant participant (shop/leisure/food/..).

Where can I use the vouchers?

The vouchers can be used with specific local participants / partners. You can find the detailed information in the voucher description.

What is the validity period of the vouchers?

  • The vouchers in the shop will have a validity date mentioned. You can see until when the offer is available.
  • Once you have purchased the voucher, they are valid for up to 5 days after purchase.
  • Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be shared.
  • Vouchers can only be used once.

Can I exchange my voucher for another voucher?

  • No, this is not possible. Once a voucher is bought, it has to be used or otherwise it will expire. The Circular UCoins will be deducted from your balance automatically.

How do I get into a new tier?

  • By picking up more and more litter items. A new tier can be achieved if you pass the amount of litter items that needs to be Clicked to open a new tier. 
    • Starter: 1 – 50 items
    • Advanced: 51 – 150 items 
    • Champion: + 150 items

Why did I lose my *title* tier?

Once you earn a tier, you will stay within this tier even when you redeem your points. If you are inactive for 3 months you will lose your *title* tier and go one down.

I accidentally refused the camera or location access and now I cannot scan or take picture of items

  • Depending on the browser, you may need to access the settings to give permission again. In the first instance try to refresh the page.
  • The second thing to try is to check the browser settings / camera / location permissions.
  • Another solution could be to switch browser and try again.

I can’t log in to my account

Try to reset your password. Go to the login page and press the "Forgotten password" link. Simply enter your e-mail address and press the button to submit. You will be e-mailed a temporary password.

What do I do when I can’t open the Click web app?

Make sure you have an active internet /xG connection. If you have internet connection and you still can’t open the web app then try a different internet browser, ideally the default one for your smartphone.

What do I do when a barcode can’t be scanned?

If a barcode can’t be scanned you will get the option to take a photo of the item and indicate the item type.

Where is the voucher I purchased?

Your vouchers will show in the ‘Vouchers” page for up to 5 days. There you can view and redeem them.

I accidentally purchased the wrong voucher, what do I do now?

Please take care when purchasing vouchers, as they cannot be refunded or replaced.

Someone else signed up with my email

A welcome email would have been sent to your email address with a temporary password. Unless the other person has access to your emails, they are unable to log in. If you want to be extra safe, you can reset your password.

My browser can't find my location, what can I do? (for IPhone)

  • If your browser cannot find your location, there are 3 options to fix it. You go to settings and there you follow the next steps.
    • Settings, go to Privacy. Set Location Services to "On
    • Settings, go to Privacy. Click on Location Services, continue to Safari websites and select "Next time" or "While using the app", not "Never".
  • Settings, go to Safari. Under Location, select "Ask" or "Allow", not "Deny".
